Welcome to Skillance. This Privacy Policy explains how Zenovij Partyka, Business ID (IČO): 24513393, Registered in the Trade Licensing Register (Zapsán v živnostenském rejstříku), operating under the trade name Skillance ("we," "our," or "us"), collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use the Skillance platform (the "Platform").

We respect your privacy and process your personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).


1. Information We Collect

We collect information that identifies, relates to, describes, or could reasonably be linked to you ("Personal Data").

A. Information You Provide Directly

Account Information

When you register, we collect your username, email address, and, unless you register through a third-party authentication provider, a password. Providing this information is necessary to create and maintain your account and enter into our Terms of Service.

Profile Information & Public Data Responsibility

The Platform is inherently public. Any information or Content you choose to publish on the Platform may be viewed, copied, indexed, archived, or shared by other users or third parties. The Platform also provides directory and search features that allow users to discover and filter public profiles, studios, and job listings, which may be indexed by search engines and accessible outside the Platform.

Content and Communications

We collect content, files, media, messages, feedback, reports, and communications submitted through the Platform ("Content").

Important note regarding media files: Uploaded media files (such as images or videos) may contain embedded metadata (e.g. EXIF data with location or device information). While we attempt to automatically strip metadata from uploaded files, we cannot guarantee that all metadata will be completely or successfully removed in every instance due to technical limitations. Users remain responsible for removing any sensitive metadata from their files prior to uploading if they wish to ensure it is not disclosed.

Third-Party Authentication

If you use Google, Discord or similar services to register or log in, we receive basic account information (username, email, avatar, unique ID) as authorized by you.

Roblox Verification

If you link your Roblox account, we store your Roblox username, User ID, and profile avatar. Temporary verification codes are deleted immediately after use.

When you add a Roblox game to your profile by providing a link or ID, we retrieve and store the game's public thumbnail, title, and description via the Roblox public API to display it on your profile.

When you link a Roblox group or community to your studio by providing a group ID or link, we retrieve and store the group's public name, description, and avatar via the Roblox public API to display it on your studio profile.

Sensitive Personal Data

We do not intentionally collect or solicit sensitive personal data (health data, biometric data, religious or political beliefs, government identifiers, etc.). Users should avoid sharing such information publicly to prevent privacy or safety risks.


B. Information Collected Automatically

Log Data & Audit Logs

We automatically collect technical data including IP address, browser type, device information, operating system, referring URLs, timestamps, security logs, communication logs (email delivery records), and audit logs of significant account activities (such as profile updates or content modifications) for security and accountability purposes. These logs are deleted after a maximum of 3 months, unless longer retention is required by law.

Analytics Data

We collect aggregated and anonymized analytics. Optional session replay and advanced analytics tools are used only with your explicit consent.


2. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your Personal Data only on the following grounds:

A. Contractual Necessity

Necessary to perform our contract with you (Terms of Service), including:

  • Creating, maintaining and securing your account.
  • Providing the core functionality of the Platform.
  • Sending essential transactional communications.

B. Legitimate Interests

Where necessary for our legitimate interests (not overridden by your rights), including:

  • Platform security, fraud prevention, abuse detection and content moderation.
  • Maintaining technical stability and integrity of the Platform.
  • Improving and developing the Platform based on aggregated or anonymized usage patterns.
  • Protecting the safety of users and the Platform.

C. Consent

Based on your explicit, informed consent (which you may withdraw anytime), for:

  • Optional analytics and session replay tools (e.g. Microsoft Clarity).
  • Promotional/marketing communications.

D. Legal Obligations

To comply with applicable laws, regulations or lawful governmental requests.

Automated Decision-Making

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on users.


3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell Personal Data and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use personal information of any user, including minors, for targeted advertising, behavioral profiling, or any form of interest-based advertising.

We share data only with trusted service providers acting strictly as data processors under Data Processing Agreements. Current providers include:

  • Hukot.net: Hosting infrastructure (processes encrypted database content and server logs).
  • Cloudflare: CDN, DNS, security routing, and Cloudflare R2 for object storage (hosts user-uploaded media and files, processes IP addresses).
  • Sentry: Error monitoring and diagnostics (processes error logs, IP addresses, and device info).
  • ZeptoMail (Zoho): Transactional email delivery (processes email addresses and message metadata).
  • MailerLite: Marketing emails, only if you opt-in (processes email addresses).
  • Microsoft Clarity: Analytics and session replay, strictly with opt-in consent (processes interaction patterns and device information; sensitive input data is masked).
  • Google & Discord: Authentication providers (process OAuth tokens, account IDs, and emails).

Business Transfers

In case of merger, acquisition or sale of assets, your data may be transferred. We will notify you where reasonably possible.


4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

  • Necessary Cookies — Required for the Platform to function. Cannot be disabled.
  • Analytics & Session Replay — Used only with your explicit consent. Sensitive fields are masked.
  • Preference Cookies — Remember your settings.

5. Data Retention and Account Deletion

Active Account Content

All personal data and content associated with your account is retained for the duration of your active account and processed in accordance with the Account Deletion section below.

Log Data & Consent Records

  • Security and Communication Logs: Retained for a maximum of 3 months.
  • Consent Records: Records of user consents (timestamps, IP addresses, accepted agreements) are retained for up to 3 years after account deletion where necessary for legal compliance.

Inactive Accounts

May be deleted or anonymized after 24 months of inactivity following prior notice.

Content Deletion

Deleted Content is immediately hidden from public view and permanently deleted from active systems after a 7-day recovery period.

Account Deletion

You may request permanent deletion of your account at any time through the platform settings:

  • 14-Day Security Grace Period: Your account is immediately deactivated and hidden. You can cancel the request during this period.
  • Permanent Deletion & Disassociation: After 14 days, we permanently delete or disassociate your personal data. To preserve conversation context and platform integrity, certain interactions (such as comments, reviews, and private messages) will be retained but disassociated from your personal identifiers and attributed to a "Deleted User".
  • Backup Purge: Residual copies are automatically purged within 7 days after the grace period ends.
  • Legal Hold Exception: We may retain data longer if required for legal compliance or active investigations (fraud, harassment, abuse, etc.).

6. Data Security, Integrity, and Breach Notification

We use commercially reasonable efforts to implement technical and organizational safeguards. We respect your data integrity and do not arbitrarily modify your personal information or content. We may correct or update data strictly where necessary for security purposes, legal compliance, or to fulfill your direct requests, and we will generally notify you of such administrative changes.

We may manually review Content to detect malware, CSAM, illegal material, or severe policy violations. In the event of a qualifying personal data breach, we will notify the relevant supervisory authority and affected users as required by law.


7. Children's Privacy and Parental Guidance

The Platform is intended for developers, creators, studios, and professional collaboration purposes and is explicitly not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from users under 13. If you are a minor and do not fully understand any part of this Privacy Policy, please stop and discuss this document with your parent or legal guardian before creating an account.

If you are a parent or legal guardian and discover that your child under the age of 13 has bypassed our registration restrictions and created an account without your knowledge or required consent, you may contact us immediately at [email protected] to request a review, restriction, or deletion of the account.

Upon verification of an underage account, we will execute a permanent deletion of the account and all associated data as soon as reasonably practicable, except where temporary retention is strictly required for legal compliance or security investigations.


8. International Data Transfers

Data is primarily processed in the European Union. Where transfers occur outside the EU/EEA, we rely on legally recognized safeguards including Standard Contractual Clauses or other lawful transfer mechanisms.


9. Your Privacy Rights and Supervisory Authorities

We extend strong privacy rights to all users globally, aiming to maintain a high standard of data protection regardless of your country of residence.

A. Universal Privacy Rights

Subject to verification and applicable law, you have the right to:

  • Access your Personal Data: Request a copy of the specific pieces and categories of data we have collected about you.
  • Correct inaccurate information: Request the rectification of outdated or incorrect data.
  • Request deletion of Personal Data: Subject to the 14-day security grace period and legal hold exceptions.
  • Restrict or object to processing: Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Request data portability: Receive your data in a structured, commonly used format.
  • Withdraw consent: At any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on prior consent.
  • Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you or deny services for exercising your privacy rights.

B. Supervisory Authorities

You have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

Material changes will be notified at least 30 days in advance. Continued use after the effective date means acceptance of the changes. You may reject changes by deleting your account before they take effect.
